The final in person on 22.06.2024 at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart.

Terms and Conditions

 

Participation is free for active SICG Festival participants. For all others, the participation fee is 30 euros.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, 23.05.2024

  1. The decision of the jury is final and binding.

  2. Participants born after 23.05.1994 are eligible.

  3. A maximum of 25 participants will be admitted. The order of registration will determine acceptance.

  4. Repertoire:
    1st Round (Video): Free program, 9 - 12 minutes.
    Final: Free program, 20 - 23 minutes.

  5. The participation fee must be transferred by 25.05.24 at the latest:

    Last-minute payments can also be proven with a payment receipt.

  6. Judges will abstain from evaluating their own students who participate in the competition.

  7. In the event of any ambiguity regarding the interpretation of the rules,
    the German version of the conditions of participation shall prevail.

1st Round (Video)

 

The video must be provided for download via Youtube or another online storage space (e.g. Dropbox). Please send the corresponding link to office@sicg-festival.de

Deadline: 24.05.2024, 23:59 CET.
The videos will then be made available for evaluation at www.youtube.com/@SICG-Festival/playlists

  1. The recording must be frontal, from a fixed camera position.
    Head and feet must be visible.

  2. Cuts are allowed between movements and pieces.
    No audio effects may be added.

  3. The sign "SICG-Competition 2024" must be visible in the video.

  4. The Youtube title should be:
    III. Stuttgart International Classic Guitar Competition 2024, 1st Round - *Your Name*.
    In the description, include the titles and movements of the performed works.

  5. The announcement of finalists will be on Friday, 31.05.2024
    via email and on the website.


2nd Round, Final (In-Person)

 

The final will take place in the concert hall of the Musikhochschule Stuttgart on
Saturday, 22.06.2024 starting at 9:30.

  1. Up to 6 participants will advance to the final round.

  2. The order will be determined by a random draw on Friday, 21.06.2024 and announced via email and on the website by 19:00.

  3. Participants may repeat a maximum of 2 works from the first round in the final.

  4. If the maximum performance time is exceeded in the final, the performance will be interrupted by the jury chairperson.

  5. The 1st prize winner is required to contribute a short program item at Noche de la Guitarra on Saturday, 22.06.2024.

The final performances are open to the public.
