Here is a short excerpt to give you an impression of the work:

-
Duration: approx. 6 minutes
-
The sheet music will be provided to the competition participants free of charge as a PDF of the printed version.
-
Composer's note:
"Komore-bi" is a Japanese word meaning sunlight filtering through swaying trees.
In this piece, short ascending and descending note shapes overlap and are repeated with slight variations. Each time this happens, the harmony of the pitch relationship changes, as do the subtle shifts in the guitar's timbre. I want it to be heard as if the light is filtering through the swaying trees.
I was also strongly inspired by the "Komore-bi" in Wim Wenders' film "Perfect Days".

In the first round (video), only the first section of the work needs to be played (approx. 2 minutes). In the final, it must be presented in full.
